The Forestbrook Gators Wrestling Team traveled to Hartsville High School Saturday to compete in the annual Red Fox Rumble Individual Tournament. The Gators brought 13 wrestlers and 6 of them placed in the top three of their weight class. We also finished 5th overall in team points out of 20 teams. Isaac Barrios, Elijah Baier and Alex Eaddy all went undefeated and were declared the champions of their weight class. Austin Warren and Tristan Washko made their way to the championship finals and took 2nd place. Graham Frechette took 3rd. Coach Kegs Wrestler of the Weekend was Graham Frechette. Graham lost his first match of the tournament. He then went on a tear and won the next four matches to make it to and win the consolation finals. Our next competition is Monday at Aynor High School where we will be wrestling Aynor and Myrtle Beach. This Tuesday Socastee Wrestling will be hosting Aynor, where they will wrestle in duals competition at all three levels (middle school, JV and varsity). Forestbrook will be the Socastee cluster representative at the middle school level. Wrestling starts at 6. Lets pack the stands in Gator Green and watch our team take on the Blue Jackets.
