The Week 34 Pools and Palms Athlete of the Week is Talin Patel, Men’s Golf. Talin competed in the state tournament and represented Socastee High well. Talin has chosen to recognize Dr. Herndon, his former English teacher. He says that Dr. Herndon has just been a great supporter and she puts students in position to be successful in a very difficult class. Dr. Herndon’s expertise in her area of ELA along with her caring of athlete’s like Talin, provide huge a impact with students well beyond high school.
