Week 11, Pools and Palms Athletes of the Week, are Sara Blazer, Bravettes and Kelsey Edwards, Varsity Cheer. Sara is a remarkable young woman whose kindness shines in everything she does. She is humble, coachable, and always eager to grow. As an honor roll student, she balances her academic success with faithful service at her church, a part-time job, and active involvement in several school clubs. As co-captain of the Bravettes Dance Team, Sara leads by example with grace, dedication, and a positive spirit. Whatever she takes on, she gives her very best, and she is truly a joy to teach, coach, and have in our school community. Sara Chose to recognize Lady Urb, her IB Englis Teacher. She says that Mrs. Urbaniak challenges her and that is what she likes the most. She enjoys the class, but she likes how it drives her to be a better student and to learn. Kelsey Edwards has outstanding work ethic and positive attitude. Kelsey consistently gives her best effort, shows up with a smile, and is always willing to step outside her comfort zone to learn new positions and help wherever the team needs her. Her dedication, flexibility, and willingness to take on new challenges make her a valuable teammate. She leads by example and is an incredibly positive role model for our entire program! Kelsey chose to recognize Kathryn Fletcher. She teaches Heath Science and she creates a welcoming environment where everyone feels appreciated, valued, and cared for in her classroom.
