Week 9 Pools and Palms Athlete’s of the Week are Torren Dirks and Max Duke, Defending 5A D2 State Champion Men’s Varsity Volleyball. Torren has shown so much progress through the years and he has dominated on the court this year! He has been recognized by our region and was able to become Region Player of the Year and we are very happy and proud of him. Torren has chosen to recognize Ashley Wilder. Torren says how Mrs. Wilder is a top tier English teacher, she did a tremendous job in his English 2 class. He really enjoyed how she was positive and got all students to learn. Max has been working hard over the past two years as setter. He has reached 1,000 assist and that is an amazing accomplishment! Keep working hard, we are proud of you! Max has chosen to recognize Coach Steve Hodge. Max said that not only did he enjoy his years of Coach Hodge’s class, he learned a lot of life lessons from Coach Hodge. Congrats Torren, Max, Coach Hodge and Mrs. Wilder.
