Week 33 Pools and Palms Athlete of the Week is Mathew Shawver, Varsity Men’s Lacrosse. Mathew Shawver had 16 Saves in a huge region win for the Braves against NMB and secured our playoff spot. He had 72.7% save percentage and a 67% Clear Rate in the game only giving up 6 goals. He has been a huge impact since winning the starting role and a surprise difference maker in his first season with Socastee Lacrosse. Mathew chose to recognize ISS director and Assistant Lacrosse Coach JC Bulleman. He says JC has made the Lacrosse environment fun and he enjoys how he has been positive as Matt learns lacrosse.
