Lady Braves finished 1st and Braves finished 2nd at our Home meet at Coastal Carolina University. From the Coaches: The Socastee Girls & Boys swim teams had outstanding performances at the 10 team Invitational swim meet held at Coastal Carolina University on Saturday. The Girls led by Madison Malena, Sammy Riley, Kyleigh Malena, Anisten Satterfield & McKinen Solheim, took 1st place, 22 points ahead of 2nd place North Myrtle Beach! They won the Medley Relay and Madison won the 500 Freestyle event! The Boys had another dominating showing led by Landen Christensen, Logan Mendieta, Nathan Ludeman & Easton Zeeryp. They each had an Individual 1st place finish and they combined to win the 200 Medley & 200 Freestyle relays. Landen got two Automatic State Cuts in the meet! The 200 Freestyle also got an Automatic cut AND beat the Socastee High School record, set 13 years ago by the 2012 State Championship team! The teams will compete again this Saturday at Pepper Geddings, in Myrtle Beach.
