The Pools and Palms Week 1, Athlete of the Week is Logan Mendieta, Men’s Swimming. Logan dominated at the first swim meet of the season! He won the 100 Butterfly & the 100 Breaststroke, both with Automatic State Qualifying times! He also swam Butterfly in the winning 200 Medley Relay and he Anchored the winning 200 Freestyle Relay. Logan has chosen to recognize his former Science teacher, Mr. Weeks. Logan states that Mr. Weeks is an all around awesome teacher who makes sure his students understand his teachings and he shows an interest in all of them beyond his class.
